Job Summary
Mainly day shift. (Typically, 8:00am – 5:00pm) Potential evening and/or weekend hours.
Health and Wellness at the University of Kentucky is currently seeking an Assistant Fitness Manager to assist in the delivery of daily operations of a 7,000 sq. ft. employee dedicated fitness facility.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Duties to include: • fitness floor coverage • oversight of customer service front desk staff • perform exercise consultations and training sessions • facilitate electronic membership process • maintain facility maintenance • oversight of daily operations • member customer service

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? YesPreferred Education/Experience
Attention to detail, customer focused, strong organizational skills, initiative, sound written and verbal skills. Exercise principles, apply behavior change theory, ability to adapt programming to special populations.
Preferred Masters plus two years of experience in exercise science, biomechanics or health promotion.
