  • Maintain GPU Servers: Administer and ensure the optimal performance of GPU servers used for computational research and educational purposes. Perform regular updates, security patches, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Lab/Classroom Equipment Setup: Install, configure, and maintain lab equipment, including workstations, networking devices, and other lab technologies. Ensure that lab environments are fully operational for educational and research activities.
  • Student Lab Support: Provide technical support to students using the lab facilities. Assist with software installations, hardware issues, and troubleshooting, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
  • Cloud Services Management: Administer cloud-based resources and services, including virtual machines, storage, and application services. Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security.
  • Faculty Computer Systems: Oversee the maintenance and support of faculty computer systems. Ensure that all hardware and software needs are met, and systems are secure and up-to-date.
  • Equipment Procurement and Delivery: Coordinate with vendors to procure computer systems and lab equipment. Manage the delivery schedule to ensure equipment is received and installed on time. Maintain inventory and asset management records.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and user guides. Provide training to faculty, staff, and students on new technologies and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT team members, faculty, and external partners to support ongoing projects and initiatives. Participate in the planning and implementation of new IT solutions to meet the evolving needs of the department, including testing and evaluating new applications, systems enhancements, programming upgrades, and other systems and applications improvements.
Minimum Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, required.

Experience
  • Proven experience in systems administration
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent technical skills in hardware setup, software installation, and networking.
  • Ability to provide technical support and training to a diverse group of users.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in educational or research institutions is preferred.
