Diploma or GED Experience Requirement: construction experience a plus, surveying experience preferred Special Skills: enrolled in A.S., B.S. or certification program in surveying or engineering Travel Requirement: open to travel Description Position: Summer Surveying Internship (Full Time) Travel: primary locations Newark, DE We are currently looking for Interns pursuing an A.S. or B.S. in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or Surveying. Would consider candidate in certification program for Surveying to join our Wagman Heavy Civil team. Reporting to direct field supervision, the Intern will be assigned various tasks from management and work with the engineering and surveying team on the assigned project. Tasks may include but are not limited to reviewing drawings and specs, site walk through's, setting up of GPS equipment, surveying different areas of the project and more. The ideal candidate should be able to take and follow instructions as well as be able to work independently and communicate effectively. This position works alongside the entire Project Team to support the completion of assigned construction projects and ensures all plans move forward to meet projected deadlines in safe manner. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
