In short, you embody the Legacy mission of making life better for others.

The Pediatric Answer Line (PAL) is a nurse triage service at The Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel for after-hours parent phone calls. The PAL serves Pediatricians from all over Oregon and SW Washington, currently handling over 44,000 calls annually. The Answer Line uses computerized software protocols based on the pediatric triage advice of Dr. Barton Schmitt, a nationally known and respected pediatrician. The protocols are conservative, evidence-based, peer reviewed and provide a thorough and safe level of care with documentation that far exceeds that of a private pediatrician.
