Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain MSA Product Stewardship playbooks to effectively manage all regulatory requirements. These encompass Conflict Minerals, global RoHS regulations, REACH, California Prop 65, TSCA, PFAS, and similar regulations pertinent to MSA products.
  • Maintain and manage the master database for all products and components. Utilize the database for analyzing product compliance, assessing risks, documenting compliance, and generating reporting data for regulatory agencies.
  • Project manage, analyze, evaluate, and prepare regulatory reports to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain required Safety Data Sheets for all MSA products. Efficiently manage the database for MSA product Safety Data Sheets.
  • Manage the requirements for dangerous goods shipped globally for MSA. This includes maintaining necessary permits/certifications, overseeing a comprehensive database, and collaborating with R&D for requalification purposes.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to address inquiries and concerns related to product stewardship. Provide clear guidance on product labeling, safety data sheets, product notifications, and regulatory submissions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments on all new products, reformulated products, and new marketing conditions to ensure compliance and develop any required documents.
  • Develop and maintain a database of all regulatory certifications related to Product Stewardship.
  • Stay updated on global regulations concerning product safety and chemical management to ensure MSA products comply with relevant regulations in target markets.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate internal stakeholders on product stewardship best practices, fostering a culture of compliance and responsibility.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the product stewardship function, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement tools and systems to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting related to product compliance, facilitating smoother operations and ensuring regulatory adherence.


Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively solve problems and develop solutions.
  • Strong understanding of global regulations related to product stewardship, environmental compliance, and chemical management. Including RoHS, REACH, TSCA, Conflict Minerals, SDS, DOT.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical and regulatory information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management capabilities.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • 10% Travel
  • B.S. degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Material Science, or related field.
  • An alternate bachelor's degree may be considered if years of applicable experience.
