Job Summary Come join our team of Health Economics professionals whose mission is to conduct empirical, objective research and applied policy analysis to monitor changes in the health care marketplace; to understand factors influencing health care cost, quality, and access; and to provide technical assistance in the development of state health care policy. The Pharmaceutical Economics Research Unit within the Health Economics Program at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is seeking a Policy Specialist. This position is responsible for the policy portfolio for the statewide Prescription Drug Price Transparency (RxPT) program (MS 62J.84). This includes assessing the impact of RxPT programs within the state of Minnesota, coordinating legislative activity, serving as the subject matter expert for the RxPT programs and the subject area of prescription drug policy, engaging stakeholders, advising on policy strategic direction, representing the program to external audiences in some circumstances, and providing strategic direction recommendations for the program. Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Candidates residing in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota may have the option to telework; however, telework schedules are based on the unit's operational needs and are at supervisory discretion.
