Threat Tec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our team at our Hampton, VA Headquarters. The CISO will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining our cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets, and mitigating cyber threats and risks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard Threat Tec's information assets.
- Lead the development and execution of cybersecurity programs, including risk management, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance initiatives.
- Establish and maintain robust security controls and technologies to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
- Provide guidance and oversight to internal teams and stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and address security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into business processes, systems, and projects.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
- Serve as a liaison with external partners, vendors, and government agencies on cybersecurity matters, including obtaining and maintaining security clearances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and programs in a complex organizational environment.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, DFARS).
- Strong technical expertise in network security, application security, cloud security, encryption, identity and access management, and other cybersecurity domains.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are required.
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
- Experience in administrating/securing hybrid active directory environments.
- Ability to conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing is highly desired.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher is required.
