Overview
Job duties require different types of floor care, office cleaning, and general daily housekeeping. Be able to follow a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain daily, weekly, week ending and monthly check lists
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to work alone and stay on task
- Clean offices and rest rooms in an industrial setting
- Willing to work weekends and stay ate when needed
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Must be knowledgeable in Janitorial chemicals
- Vacuuming, mopping, stripping and waxing floors by running a floor equipment ((C3 Machine, floor scrubber, high speed burnisher)
- Empty all office and restroom trash cans and shredders
- Dusting desks, wiping down phones, etc.
- Refilling soap, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers
- Cleaning of the donning and doffing area
- Cleaning and sanitizing of captive boots
- Cleaning and filling of production supply totes
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
- Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
- Use personal assistance (buddy)
- Use handrails
- Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, bump cap, safety glasses, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.

- Continuously required to walk and stand.
- Frequent body bending, hand twisting (both), kneeling, stooping, crouching/squatting, body twisting/rotating, and handling- gross motor.
- Occasional reaching above shoulders or at shoulder height, climbing stairs, pushing or pulling 60 – 100 pounds up to 100ft, lifting 60-100 pounds up to a height of 3-5 ft. and fine motor of the fingers.
- Will be exposed to loud industrial type environments commonly found at plants and working with power equipment. Also exposed to toxic chemicals.
- Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
Qualifications
- Prefer High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to communicate effectively
