We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our team at Redstone Arsenal, AL to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office of the Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) in coordination and execution of test planning and documentation efforts.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Support the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) development by preparing and coordinating all inputs to the TEMP. This will include reviewing current policy memos, preparing TEMP outlines and formatting, creating timelines and approval paths, sending out writing assignments, tracking and collating inputs, coordinating page by page reviews and comment adjudication, and preparing for the final signature process.
  • Participate in other PEO organizations' TEMP activities by providing inputs and supporting their review processes.
  • Support requests to update a Simplified Acquisition Management Plan (SAMP) by providing T&E information for inclusion, participating in review meetings, and coordinating and adjudicating comments from other Army organizations and OSD.
  • Develop, in conjunction with System Engineering, baseline Developmental Evaluation Frameworks (DEF) and update as necessary for Sensor, Launcher, and Network Interfaces, creating stand-alone documents to articulate a logical test and evaluation strategy that informs decisions.
  • Support preparation for and conduct of Quarterly T&E WIPTs and other Program Stakeholder Meetings. This effort includes preparing planning timelines, Roster coordination/updates, and distribution of meeting announcements.
  • Generate agendas and coordinate with briefers on chart content and due dates per planning timeline.
  • Take detailed minutes and action items during WIPT, prepare Minutes package for distribution, and maintain Action Items spreadsheet, tracking AIs to completion.
  • Participate in other PEO organizations' WIPTs, providing necessary Program inputs prior to meetings and follow-up with action items as required.
  • Candidate must have meticulous attention to detail. Candidate needs to have familiarity with and the ability to comprehend T&E Policies and DOD 5000.
  • Support other test activities to include documentation, execution, and reporting for multiple Army Systems. This includes generation of pre-test documentation like test plans, test requirements, test procedures, and test case matrices, as well as supporting technical interchange planning meetings.
  • Support test execution at DOD Test Ranges and post-Test reporting activities, to include briefings to management on test results.

At a minimum you should have:

  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Be self-motivated and possess good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate activities across several Government agencies and external organizations.
  • Possess a BS in an Engineering or a science field or have equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in test planning and execution support.
  • Experience with testing of fielded systems and systems under development.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule during periods of test execution.
  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Must be within commuting distance Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate.

You will be highly desirable if you have:

  • Qualification testing experience.
  • Experience with programs to include RAM Warn, AMDPCS, FAAD C2, AMDWS, and Army Air Defense Systems such as Patriot, LTAMDS, and IBCS.

Estimated Salary Range: $140,000 to $170,000
