The Role:

Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Engineering Tech to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated team oriented individual to support assembly and chemical cleaning processes on our latest product development projects. Entegris’ liquid filter and purifier product development team is a group of dynamic, innovative engineers and technicians collaborating to launch next generation material purity solutions into the high-tech semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Hours of the position are 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday with additional hours based on lab testing which is usually overtime.

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble filtration device prototypes, adapting to new materials and equipment.
  • Run R&D chemical process equipment to clean devices and collect metrology data.
  • Assist with design of experiments and execute daily experimental duties.
  • Assist with start-up and commissioning of new lab equipment.
  • Follow standard test practices and procedures.
  • Collect chemical samples and submit requests for analysis to analytical labs.
  • Complete documentation relevant to the role including:
  • Compile and document experimental results.
  • Write technical reports and communicate testing status verbally and in writing.
  • Write standard operating procedures for common procedures.
  • Complete routine cleaning and maintenance of R&D equipment and maintain good housekeeping and organization within the lab.
  • Work with other groups including New Product Introduction, Manufacturing, Analytical, EH&S, etc. as needed to support R&D work orders.
  • Package & ship material when needed.
  • Order materials, chemicals, and product from warehouse.
  • Train junior team members on lab procedures for onboarding

What We Seek:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years chemistry lab experience, or 2 years of service in Manufacturing or Quality/Analytical environment, or 2-year degree in science or engineering field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Handling various chemicals in a lab environment
  • Clean room manufacturing
  • Fluid handling equipment, especially filtration and purification
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail, systematic approach, good record keeper, neat and organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter. Takes on additional tasks without direction and completes tasks with minimum supervision once trained.
