Material Handler, Decatur, Texas

Our site in Decatur, TX is seeking a Material Handler to join our team.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 8AM-4:45PM MONDAY-FRIDAY

The Material Handler position is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through a combination or selection of activities below including supporting manufacturing, transferring, and storing, utility, picking activities, packaging and palletizing goods, and other related duties as assigned.

What you'll do:

-SAP transactions to include:

• Creating deliveries
• Post Goods Issue of deliveries.
• Creating and entering Cycle Count Records
• Creating Purchase Requisitions

-Other transactions to include:

• Processing shipments through the UPS and FedEx operating systems
• Conducting and monitoring physical counts for Logistics supplies
• Organizing and scheduling shipments with different Freight carriers
• Train new employees in the Logistics Pick/Pack/Ship processes.

-Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

-Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to consistently produce high-quality work.

-Other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A year or more of experience in warehouse environment preferred.
• General PC skills required to include SAP, UPS, and FedEx operating systems.
• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical.
• Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus.
• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.

• Use a high level of integrity towards the quality of the product and work.
• Be a team player and having an open, honest and positive attitude.
