The Regional Digital Solutions Specialist (DSS) is responsible for driving growth and penetration of the Straumann Group Digital Solutions and achieving the related financial results in their assigned Region. The DSS reports to the Regional Sales Director (RSD) and is the local digital expert for their Regional Dental Territory Managers (DTMs) that are also responsible for the sell through of digital hardware and software as part of Straumann Groups digital workflow solutions. The DSS is a key individual contributor role that mentors and coaches DTMs on the how and why to sell the value of digital and drives deep digital relationships for local clinicians, laboratories, and key accounts in partnership with DTMs.

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Achieve or exceed sales goals in an assigned region through the effective selling and marketing of company products to existing and potential new customers within the framework of organizational policies and directives
  • Drive new leads, develop a strong sales pipeline, and implement strategies to increase short and long-term market penetration through engagement with the local DTM regional team
  • Follow up phone calls and/or Teams support with doctors & labs
  • Co-travel with local DTM’s team to drive opportunities in specified region
  • Product demonstrations in the specified region – live or virtual
  • Digital event execution
  • Plan sales activity based on defined sales process to ensure that region meets or exceeds assigned monthly and/or annual sales goals
  • Coaches DTMs on digital solutions workflows & fields qualified digital leads from DTMs
  • Supports regional DTMs with quoting large digital solutions bundle proposals
  • Leads regional team meetings and business discussions regarding Digital Workflows to advance DTM knowledge on how to position with clinicians & laboratories
  • Collaborates with Area Digital Business Develop Managers (BDMs) to develop regional strategies
  • Supports the implementation of Digital Plans in the Field; product launches, key projects, products test, etc. serving as the local expert to DTMs & customers
  • Implements digital Lab Services Strategic Projects in the Field in close collaboration with Area BDMs Analyze customer’s digital business needs and opportunities; and plan with customer ways to increase business flow
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key influential thought leaders. Utilize these relationships to expand market share
  • Study and keep informed on company policies, new technologies, products, competitive activity, and other general information, as necessary
  • Manage assigned geographical territory within allocated expense budget
  • Working closely with the RSD – providing recommendations for priorities, timetables and manages resources/tasks as it relates to the businesses
  • Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly projections of revenue and units. Provides input to the development of the annual sales forecast
  • General CRM Activities: Straumann Group SAP CRM provides a platform for every field-based employee to plan and measure activities to the current customer base and prospective customers. The data input provides guidance for business strategies to report trends, customer needs and identify Sales, Marketing and Education opportunities. All employees with customer facing interactions are required to log quality activities with every Straumann customer and prospect
  • Applies advanced knowledge in sales to handle complex situations or accounts, where existing methods or procedures may not apply
  • Attendance at Trade Shows and Dental Conferences
  • Travel within the assigned region including evenings and weekends

Physical Attributes:

  • Lifting up to 25 pounds

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 5+ years’ experience working in a digital technology focused role OR dental experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with selling Digital Solutions to Dentists and Lab owners
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, maintaining auto insurance coverage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and CRM are tools used to communicate with key customers
  • Proficient in CAD and planning software operation
  • Fluent in digital workflows like IOS, 3D printing and CAD\CAM Milling
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and objectives


Base salary: $85,000-95,000/Annually, commission potential up to $50,000 (100% on target achievement). Commission for this position is uncapped. The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.
