Job Summary:

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of Broadband services being delivered to our customer equipment as well as the installation of new services and growth of existing services as required by customer needs. Additional responsibilities include directing and supervising the Field Operations Team to ensure the proper maintenance and operations of all equipment, towers, buildings, access road, ground upkeep, HVAC, power equipment, and interconnect facilities as well as Customer equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading, motivating, and coaching a diverse team toward common goals, objectives, and continued skill development.
  • Interfacing and providing support to all other departments in the organization, daily to ensure network availability, and timely completion of projects.
  • Identify and report expense and capital budgetary requirements for the field operations team.
  • Ensure the standard of routine maintenance are met such as but not limited to Site PM’s, Site Documentation, Company Assets.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge in all the following areas: wireless/data services, data communications, digital communications, operational systems and applications, voice telecommunications, project management, microwave, and fiber/ethernet backhaul facilities.
  • 2 years of operational experience in Broadband and or Wireless Communications.
  • Experience and knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment in an IP network environment is required.
  • Experience and knowledge in managing and troubleshooting fiber optic and Microwave transmission facilities.
  • Adaptive to change - openness to different viewpoints is required.
  • Demonstrated positive, proactive leadership role including taking the initiative to identify matters of importance; resolving problems in a timely fashion; fostering a sense of teamwork; and working well in an unstructured environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability for managing employee performance and positive coaching and feedback to co-workers.
  • High level of leadership and professionalism is required.
  • Self-motivated and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing is required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekends.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
