Williams Form Engineering is looking to hire a Saw Operator on 2nd shift to join our Wayne, NE manufacturing team. Williams is looking for dedicated individuals who are willing to show initiative, dedication and are driven to succeed. As a saw operator you will learn valuable skills, machine safety and operation, mechanical skills, problem solving, decision making, teamwork, and production schedules. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must follow all safety standards and procedures
  • Able to learn and perform all related Epicor transaction within 30 days
  • Operate saw equipment according to job specifications; including setting blade tension, cutting speed, blade angle, stops, and guides
  • Transfer stock to machine, manually or with a hoist
  • Measure completed work for conformance with specifications
  • Maintain accurate record of part quantities with close attention to detail
  • Identification and tagging or marking of material inventory on a constant basis
  • Report and replace defective blades
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Ability to operate a forklift preferred

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisor and/or other employees
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted required
  • Able to stand, walk, bend and twist for at least seven hours per day
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder

Working Conditions:

Working Conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including mechanical noise and fluctuating temperatures. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product. Machinery operations require the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
