We are looking for a 3rd shift Sanitation Lead. The Sanitation Lead will support the optimal performance of the Sanitation department by ensuring that all work is completed by the standards of sanitation and safety. The Lead will lead in assigning daily job duties and tasks to departmental team members. In addition, the Lead assists the supervisor/manager, in training employees on proper and safe procedures and techniques.



Responsibilities

• Oversee the sanitation process and ensure employees, following GMPs and SOPs, using proper safety precautions, including chemical usage safety, reporting equipment wear, metal corrosion, equipment breakdowns, etc., cleaning equipment in accordance with SOPs and general cleaning procedures, and properly assembling equipment and production lines for scheduled production runs.
• Opening the work area, supervision of the main function of the assigned team, maintaining continual workflow throughout the shift and supervision of final clean up.
• Instruct and train new employees on the most effective way to perform and follow procedures in the Sanitation areas.
• Maintain knowledge of all equipment in the plant; demonstrate proper procedures to use while operating and cleaning with special emphasis on safety.
• Support management and department in following all safety procedures.
• Oversees the effective cleanliness of the entire plant and processing equipment.
• Responsible for meeting the goals and objectives established with Manager.
• Complete all required clerical functions and required paperwork for your designated area, ensuring all paperwork is completed timely, in full and accurately, including but not limited to the schedules.
• Monitors and documents the use of sanitation chemicals and supplies. Manage chemical inventory & order supplies as needed.
• Will participate in regularly scheduled meetings with other Leads and Managers.
• Follow all established departmental/company rules and regulations, including but not limited to work, safety, housekeeping, uniform, and security rules.
• Responsible for monitoring and following all food safety and quality procedures.
• Perform special support services for department as requested by management. Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

• 1 year experience in food, beverage or processing/manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Sanitation experience preferred.

Pay range is $22.00 - $24.00

• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, while using proper lifting techniques.
• Must be able to stand, walking for extended periods of time up to 12 hours a day.
• Exposure to temperatures that range from freezing to sub-freezing 30°F to 60°F (coolers, freezers, etc.)
• Strong computer skills and ability to multi-task.
• Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, plant environment.
• Must be able to climb stairs, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach at, above and below shoulders. Repetitive use of hands
