Job Purpose

Element Solutions Inc is searching for a seasoned Master Data Management leader and architect to help guide the organization through our data-driven transformation. As key leader within ESI's growing Data Office, this position is responsible for collaborating across all business verticals and functions to develop and integrate Master Data Management best practices and tools. This role reports to the Senior Director, Data and Analytics and will design and lead our Master Data Management program. This role also performs management and administrative functions within the Data Office and IT.

The ideal candidate will be a true business partner, with strong interpersonal and influence skills, and must develop strong relationships with senior leadership while managing expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the MDM program for all data domains
  • Responsible for Master Data Management (MDM) deployment globally, including the architecture and selection of tools used to govern, as well as administration and adoption
  • Drive a data integrity culture by ensuring that MDM assets are understood, available and used
  • Understand full master data lifecycle (including unique business and legal data requirements of various functions) and how quality data can be best provided, analyzed, preserved and optimized to leverage business benefit
  • Ensure best practices related to Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) & Master Data Governance (quality, integrity, management, ownership, security and control protection, and archiving)
  • Understanding of business operations and models as well as the critical business issues and requirements
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, supply chain and operational teams
  • Actively promote the Master Data Governance Program and its use within the organization
  • Set the strategy and vision for building and maintaining an enterprise Master Data consolidation, rationalization, enrichment and archiving program.
  • Monitor the IT and MDG related topics in the marketplace to enhance knowledge of new technology trends to remain technically adept in developing innovative solutions.
  • Actively research and employ new, innovative strategic analysis and assessments to identify opportunities to introduce MDG tool into existing processes
  • Manage change related to master data governance including mentoring, motivating and training the MDG end user community globally
  • Responsible to driving the Master Data migration strategy during the M&A and other ERP consolidation projects

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years of experience in Master Data Governance (MDG), strategies, and leadership
  • Experience in defining Master Data Management strategies, implementing MDM services and capabilities, Data Modeling, Master Data frameworks and process facilitation, Metadata Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality solutions
  • 8-12+ years of experience in SAP ERP and familiarity with master data management requirements
  • SAP implementation experience with multiple full project lifecycles with key focus on master data management
  • Experience in SAP S/4 HANA platform, Palantir, and Salesforce is preferred
  • Strong understanding of various cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, AWS, etc
  • Experience with ETL design and development, and (OLAP) tools to support business applications
  • Proven ability to lead and manage all phases of a SDLC (Systems Development Lifecycle) or Agile methodology
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate new technology, Master Data and Reporting solutions into business value
  • Knowledge of PMO, CMM and Six Sigma methodologies and standards
  • Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Relevant industry
