Position Overview

Ayers Saint Gross is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Construction Administrator with an expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance throughout all project phases.


The Construction Administrator will be responsible for monitoring contracts, preparing progress reports, coordinating schedules, and acting as a liaison between the firm, contractors, and client representatives. The ideal candidate will visit project sites and document the construction progress with field reports and meeting minutes, as well as facilitating the flow of construction related information in our office. Candidate will be expected to manage, mentor, and train design team members supporting construction administration and will regularly share knowledge and best practices to the project team and/or firm.


Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and building codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor construction activities and materials for quality and adherence to design documents.
  • Oversee and manage the construction phase, conducting site visits and ensuring that the construction aligns with approved plans and specifications. Collaborate with the project team, including architects, contractors, and consultants, to resolve construction-related issues promptly.
  • Review documents and approve contractor submittals. Evaluate Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide timely responses to address design-related questions during construction.
  • Maintain detailed records of construction activities, inspections, and QA/QC processes for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Generate regular reports on construction progress, issues, and resolutions for project stakeholders.
  • Manage, mentor and train the design team members supporting construction administration.
  • Share knowledge and regularly update the project team and practice group on project specific experiences and lessons-learned in the field.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Construction Science/ Management or related field preferred.


Licensure: Licensed architect preferred, additional certifications may be considered.


Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Newforma, and PowerPoint) Deltek Vantagepoint and project or construction management software. Ability to access information in Revit required.


Travel: To jobsites and/or other ASG offices will be required on a periodic basis.
