JOB SUMMARY

The Electro-Mechanical Technician assembles, tests, adjust and repairs electro-mechanical products according to technical specifications, product documentation and by rigorous quality standards to assure that the American Rheinmetall Systems (ARS) provides only products of the highest caliber to the members of armed services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of product under simulated operating conditions and record results. Includes use of custom electrical equipment, multimeters, test & control software, and power supplies.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, disassemble, and repair fielded products.
  • Read technical drawings and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electro-mechanical products.
  • Connect cables, tubing, and wiring according to specifications.
  • Attend internal or external IPC/WHMA-A-620 course and complete requisite certification exams
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units and modules to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Maintain electronic and physical work logs, records, and communication.
  • Report job labor and quantities electronically
  • Support corporate Lean Continuous Improvement initiatives through daily improvements and participation in team projects
  • Keep team supervisor(s) advised of work status, workload problems and progress as related to work assignments.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety & environmental regulations and policies
