RethinkFirst is a mission-driven tech company seeking an exceptional Head of Performance Marketing to help us refine and scale our customer acquisition machine through our next stage of growth, and beyond. Day to day, you will fully own our martech stack and marketing operations, paid media spend, digital channel mix, and its execution and constant testing and optimization. As a critical member of the marketing leadership team, you’ll also be responsible for our metrics and reporting – analyzing and guiding the marketing team on what’s working/not with a continuous improvement mindset. You will partner with Finance and Sales on funnel reporting, CAC, LTV, and present data and insights to Growth Marketing, Sales, and our leadership team/Board.

We are seeking an individual who can blend strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring our marketing strategies are not only efficient across distinct industries but designed to optimize revenue generation. This role will ensure that our marketing systems and workflows are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting complex multi-product campaigns that drive revenue growth. You will be at the forefront of creating and implementing marketing solutions and digital marketing strategies that accurately reflect the needs of our growing business. This role reports directly to our Chief Marketing Officer and works in close partnership with the Head of Growth Marketing.

Responsibilities

Leadership Excellence

Operational Oversight

  • the development and maintenance of essential marketing systems (Hubspot, ChiliPiper, Brandfolder, Braze, 6sense, etc.) and processes while continuously enhancing our analytical, testing, and deployment methodologies to maintain our competitive edge.
  • the marketing operations roadmap; evaluate, select, implement, and customize marketing technology to meet the needs of the marketing department.
  • our web and digital marketing strategies and oversee their execution (email marketing, SEO, web site and LP engagement and conversions, paid advertising/social, etc.).
  • marketing, brand and technical standards and ensure processes are designed, documented, understood, and followed.
  • Asana team-wide to improve consistency, efficiency, productivity, transparency and velocity of work.
  • work to simplify systems and processes, avoiding customization bloat and over-engineered processes.
  • administration of the marketing budget and ensure marketing costs are tracked correctly; negotiate performance marketing contracts with vendors and serve as primary business owner.

Data-Driven Decision Making, Analytics, Reporting

  • with business operation leaders to foster a data-centric approach within the organization; leverage data engineering strategies to inform decision-making processes and marketing effectiveness
  • with leadership across the company to design and implement frameworks for measuring, reporting, and analyzing marketing results.
  • dashboards and reporting to monitor, measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives across the entire lifecycle.
  • data integrity and cleanliness across multiple data sources and technology platforms.
  • audience segmentation and list building, including ongoing routing and tracking initiatives across industries.
  • full funnel tracking and lead stage reporting is constantly reviewed and improved to provide top quality insights.
  • closely with finance, Salesforce administration and marketing ops to ensure smooth handoffs of data/leads and accuracy/consistency of reporting.
  • with Finance to ensure the marketing department can correctly report on the ratio between customer lifetime value and customer acquisition cost, by marketing acquisition tactic, etc.
  • inform stakeholders across marketing, sales, and finance of insights on marketing performance to ensure cross functional alignment on the best possible data-driven marketing strategy.
  • and report on the entire marketing funnel including volume, velocity, conversion stage-to-stage, and average value; make sure funnel measures can be analyzed by key dimensions such as industry, geo, and persona.
  • on and allocate digital marketing budgets, constantly analyzing spend and recommending changes as necessary to ensure optimization.
  • monthly, quarterly, annual exec-level and Board reports for marketing leadership tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, math, or finance; Masters’ is a plus.
  • 10+ years of work experience in marketing operations, analytics, and reporting within a fast-paced, growth-oriented B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful performance marketing strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Experience with precision ABM programs for enterprise targets and improving funnel velocity as well as high-volume ToFu campaigns targeting smaller accounts and shorter deal cycles.
  • Experience building a performance marketing engine across tracking, attribution, automation, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience building marketing metric dashboards with tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrable experience translating data into actionable insights, driving optimizations and reporting metrics at an Exec and Board level.
  • Systems experience w/ Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot, Marketto, Google Analytics (or similar), 6sense, Braze, and/or ChiliPiper.
  • Understanding of UX, web design, analytics testing, information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and their inter-relationships within the website channel.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills to promptly navigate obstacles, resolve issues, and effectively advocate for your team.
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills.
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation.

Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.

  • Experience with project management and workflows (Asana, Monday.com, etc.)
  • Agile and adaptable to changing market conditions and business needs.
