The Role:

Our site in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Buyer to join our team. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that supply levels are set to achieve customer satisfaction while meeting the organization's operational and financial objectives. Responsibilities include assurance of supply for assigned raw materials, supplies, services, maintaining supplier relationships, and driving sourcing cost containment and reduction efforts for Pad operations.  The successful candidate will also solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost, and price analysis techniques along with available expertise from supporting organizations.

What You’ll Do:

• Identifying the organizations purchasing needs.

• Researching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materials.

• Process requisitions efficiently and provide regular updates to management on the status of orders.

• Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring optimal supply to meet operational demands.

• Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.

• Understanding the target market and analyzing trends to make informed buying decisions.

• Coordinating with inventory team, management, and stockroom.

• Monitoring the stock quality and escalating any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

• Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales.

What We Seek:

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering or 3+years of purchasing/supply chain work experience.

• Process oriented thinker capable of identifying and driving improvement efforts. 

• Team orientated, analytical, self-motivated, with a strong ability to execute. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

• ERP experience is required. 

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally internally and externally with suppliers. 

• Excellent data management skills 

• Strong oral and written communication skills. 

• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

• Strong mathematical skills to ensure accurate calculations and mitigate potential losses for the company.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP, and experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
