Position Summary

The Director of the Cancer and Blood Disorders Program, in partnership with the Medical Director, is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership and management for the operations of the Cancer and Blood Disorders clinic, infusion center, satellite clinics, research programs, and Cancer and Blood Disorders philanthropic funds. The responsibilities include assuring child and family centered environment, excellent patient care, customer service and clinical outcomes consistent with Children's values.

Responsibilities include assuring delivery of exceptional and evidence-based care to patients within every clinical department/clinic location, including assurance that all service standards will exceed expectations and delight customers. The role will have overall accountability for working with ambulatory physician and operational leadership to develop strategic and operational plans for the program, developing tangible metrics for success and ensuring execution of those plans. Along with their dyad physician leadership, the position will also ensure programs/clinics meet all applicable clinical, service, operational and growth objectives. This individual will be participating in assessing the environment, forecasting trends, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, communicating ideas, developing and implementing policies and coaching and mentoring others. Overall budget accountability (development, cost structure efficiency and adhering to financial targets) is embedded in this role.

Required:
* Bachelor's degree in business or a medical-related field with 7-10 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a multi-specialty ambulatory setting
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multimillion dollar P&L
* Strong ability to collaborate and partner at all levels
* Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
* Proven skills in clinical program development, market assessment and growth and creating business plans
* Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills, including engaging teams to resolving complex problems using innovative solutions
* Strong financial and analytical skills
* Ability to navigate and lead through change and ambiguity with composure and confidence
* Ability to present oneself and ideas with clarity and poise
* Strong computer skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:
* Master's degree in business, healthcare administration or related field
* Clinical background and experience preferred (RN, NP, RT, etc.)
* Experience in management of cancer and blood disorder practices
* Experience with building integrated clinical care programs
* Experience with designing and implementing care delivery and service excellence strategies
* Intermediate or better proficiency with process improvement methodologies
