Job Class: Registered Nurse
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our Forensic Services team within the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) division of the agency.
This announcement will be used to fill a permanent position at the Forensic Mental Health Program. Scheduled hours are dependent upon business need. The position is night shift which includes overnight hours.
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides experienced, professional nursing care to clients in a therapeutic environment. Assess the needs of clients, develops individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team, provides direct nursing interventions and/or delegates specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided.
Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN.
The Forensics Services campus in St. Peter is comprised of the Forensic Mental Health Program and the Forensic Nursing Home. Forensics Services provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety.
