About Technology Services

The Technology Services Department (TS) of the City and County of Denver is using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications and operations that we deliver to our customers. About the Infrastructure and Operations Management Division

The Infrastructure and Operations Management Division provides the engineering and maintenance of city technology infrastructure, data storage, and converged networks. The team is responsible for planning and implementing new infrastructure as well as ongoing maintenance and enhancements. The Operations team also provides voice system and end user device support, provides 911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) support to Denver 911, and manages communication and voice radio systems management for first responders and other city agencies.

The Infrastructure and Operations Management Division of Technology Services (TS) is looking to hire a dynamic and detail-oriented individual as a Staff Assistant. In this role, you will work in the Electronic Engineering Bureau (EEB), located at 2100 31st Street in Denver, and provide exceptional customer service to walk-in customers and vendors, conduct EEB inventory management to include shipping and receiving and database data entry, manage purchase orders, invoices, and petty cash handling, and EEB warehouse organization and office management as needed.

Additionally, the Staff Assistant:
  • Answers and directs incoming calls from internal and external customers
  • Supports and assists division staff to include training registration
  • Provides administrative support to managers and directors to include organizing executive leadership team meeting agendas and taking notes
  • Enters requisitions and tracks vendor payments in Workday
  • Act as the purchase card (P Card) coordinator and make a variety of purchases for the division and reconcile those purchases in Workday
  • Assists in determining if new equipment is needed, purchases equipment and operating supplies, manages supply inventory, contacts vendors to resolve discrepancies, and monitors expenditures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience performing specialized and/or technical office support work of the type and at the level of Administrative Support Assistant IV.
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year experience.
