The Server's main objective is to service the guests in the restaurant and sell Silverspot's menu items to each guest and ensure that the delivery of each order is carried out successfully and the guest is satisfied. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively communicate to patrons what is offered, how the menu items are cooked, presented, and at what price.
Ability to sell alcohol and food.
Ability to describe menu items, wines and cocktails.
Able to use a tablet computer to ring in orders.
Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast/professional manner.
Be attentive! Offer your assistance before the guests has to ask for it.
Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge the guest so they know you will be right with them.
Learn your guest's names, occupations, and favorite meals. This will make Silverspot a special place for them.
Able to accept different types of payment and make change.
Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the Restaurant.
Clean and reset tables.
Clean seats and under the tables.
Clean and organize each POS station, restock stemware and refill salt and pepper grinders.
Sweep dining room.
Polish and roll silverware, refill sauces, restock kitchen in between guest service.
Check identifications of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner if they are not of legal age.
If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guest behavior, count number of drinks served, and if you think they should not drive, offer a taxi. Don't hesitate to ask a manager to intervene.
All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed our guests' expectations.
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential. Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to your job.
Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school education or higher.
1 2 years in Customer Service and / or Hospitality
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Food Handler and/or ServSafe certification if applicable
Required to stand for five+ hours at a time.
Walks and stands during entire shift.
Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Frequent washing of hands.
Cleaning the tables and sweeping the floors as needed bending.
Moving tables together in the Restaurant lifting.
Carrying trays with glasses and plates.
Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.
