Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN - Home Health

CareerStaff Unlimited is looking to hire a motivated, independent Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with good time management for a full-time home health contract position in South and Central County San Diego, CA! Qualified applicants are able to create you are able to create your own schedule, choose your vacation days, and ensure your holidays off. Another added benefit is avoiding the daily commute and completing charting from the comfort of your home! We offer consistent contracts that begin at 13 weeks long and can be extended year round. In this contract, you are paid per hour, not per visit and all drive time and mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to work with other personnel and develop/maintain good relations
2. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing care and current clinical practice, treatments and interventions, specific to position specialty.
3. Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
4. Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals.
5. Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
6. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations.
7. Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
8. Ability to deal tactfully with residents, students, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public, according to position setting.
9. Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
10. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
11. Demonstrate proficiency in written/verbal skills in English language
12. Sufficient computer skills required to perform duties.

CERTIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS:

1. 6-12 months recent supervised LVN experience in the Nursing Home setting (within the last 1 year)
2. Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
3. Current CPR/BLS certification, Physical, TB test
4. Current LVN license or license eligible in the state of employment.
