Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Tool and Die Maker to join our team at our manufacturing plant facility in Wheeling, IL.

Your Role:

As a Tool and Die Repair you will provide professional level repair and maintenance service for all Press Dies at Reynolds Consumer Products, to ensure the safe, efficient operation of the dies and presses and maximized productivity. You will have the opportunity to:

• Ensure that press dies are cleaned and otherwise prepared for production runs as required
• Perform the necessary die repairs which may require machining new parts, peening, filing, and troubleshooting die problems during production runs and deciding what action must be taken to correct the problem
• Keep the Supervisor and other production personnel informed as to the state of dies, and die related quality problems
• Provide background expertise for the development and manufacturing of new dies and assist with training in proper set up and operating procedures
• Keep dies working at top efficiency with different equipment speeds and gauge materials
• Spend the majority of your role cleaning, maintaining and modifying existing tools.

We need you to have:

• A Tool & Die Maker Certificate
• Completed the recognized Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship program, or a minimum of 5 years of tool and die work experience in shop or manufacturing facility
• Ability to perform satisfactorily in all areas of Tool & Die training elements
• The ability to use and understand complicated drawings
• An appreciation of how to work in a machine-paced operation.
• Ability to appreciate and identify health and safety hazards associated with production equipment and machine shop tool/equipment operation.
• Ability to perform minor clerical tasks.
• Regular attendance at work

Icing on the cake:

• The full spectrum of die maker skills is preferred but not required
