This is your opportunity to work in the operations center which includes using cameras to locate incidents and confirm location and severity, deploying overhead sign boards and dispatching of MNDOT FIRST units.

Work hours will be part-time day hours during the school year including weekends and AM & PM shift. Full-time hours may be available during semester or summer breaks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


In order to be eligible to apply you MUST be a student currently enrolled, or enrolled within 3 months in a post-secondary or graduate school taking a minimum of 6 semester credits or 9 quarter credits. Verification of enrollment will be required.

  • Must be able to work year around.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well either as part of a team or independently.


Preference will be given to those applicants who have the following:
  • Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography, Communications, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program, or related field.
