The RFRAD Division is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Intermediate Typist Clerk (ITC) for the Torrance Office located at 2325 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA 90501.

Essential Job Functions

The ITC will be assisting the Live Scan Section with clerical functions, such as filing, sending cases to storage, tracking data or information, and all other specialized clerical functions. In addition, ITCs will be responsible to assist as a back-up to thecurrent Live Scan Technician. Their responsibilities are to fingerprint clients on the Live Scan Biometrics System and transmit the fingerprint images to the Department of Justice (DOJ). The ITCs will alsocontact the DOJ for non-receipt of results. The ITCs areresponsible for assisting clients to complete forms, if needed, and obtaining clients' demographic information, and obtaining Child Abuse Central Indexresults (CACI) from the Secure Mail Server System (SMSS), and logging CACI results into the Criminal Clearance Tracking System (CCTS), and distributing to CSWs. Subsequently, ITCs will also receive Arrest Notification results, clear them on CWS/CMS, and upload the results into CCTS for CSWs to print.

Requirements

Individuals interested in applying for this position must currently hold the payroll title ofIntermediate Typist Clerk.

  • Be motivated to assist when the need arises.
