How would you like to assist in the set-up and operation of the drill rig and support equipment? At MnDOT we will provide you with a lot of variety. Our work is interesting. In this position you will assist with acquiring field supplies and equipment. Some examples of work include the following:
  • Assist with the performance of traffic control and field staking of sampling locations.
  • Assist with maintaining, cleaning, monitoring performance, and safely assist with the drill rig and support equipment.
  • Assist in securing subsurface soil and rock samples for major highway structures and embankments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • The position requires a minimum of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Permit with no air brake restriction at the time of application. If applicant has current CDL permit, you must have the ability to upgrade to and maintain a Class B CDL with no air brake restriction within 6 months of appointment.
  • Reading skills sufficient to comprehend white papers, proposals and instructional manuals.
  • Math skills sufficient to add/subtract materials quantities and multiplication/division to calculate costs within a construction contract accurately.
  • Must have capability to travel on a frequent basis.
