Three (3) years para-engineering experience (at the Transportation Specialist level or equivalent) that demonstrates:
  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of highway construction, highway design, specification, surveying, construction staking & traffic control;
  • Knowledge and application of window based operating systems and work processing applications;
  • Ability to read and understand plans;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with public officials, contractors, planning groups, central office and district office personnel;
  • Ability to prepare cost estimates for all items required to implement supplemental agreements;
  • Ability to evaluate designs, identify unsafe design features and recommend design revision or changes;
  • Ability to review technical information and arrive at solutions to problems as they arise;
  • Ability to make oral presentation to a wide variety of audiences and ability to interact with customers and stakeholders;
  • Writing skills sufficient to prepare forms and letters; and
  • Valid Class D Driver's License.
