This position will work at the JBT facility in Lakeland, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture components in accordance with routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other information relative to the work at hand.
• Operate a variety of machining equipment (lathe, mill and drill), manual and CNC.
• Perform job set up requirements.
• Perform required shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to use judgment to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure proper fit of components.
• Perform self inspection and test of parts upon completion of jobs.
• Attend all required site Safety Training sessions.
• Comply with all JBT safety policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

Machinist Requirements

• Must have experience with Manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders)
• Manual: Bridgeport Mills; Knuth Vertical Lathe; South Bend Lathes
• CNC: Haas Mills, Mazak Mill, Mazak Lathe
• Must be able to use calipers and micrometers
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Required to perform set-up and operation
• G Code programming at the machine
• Must have own tools (basic tools, veneer, micrometer)
• Will be given a verbal test (given a blue print and asked how to make the part)and written basic math test
• Skid resistant, steel toe shoes, no shorts
