Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team in supporting our federal customer's enterprise cloud practice. As a Full Stack Developer of Cloud Microservices, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based microservices solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. Your expertise in full stack development and cloud technologies will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our federal customer's cloud initiatives.

This position requires onsite presence at the customer location (Arlington, VA) one day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native microservices applications and solutions using AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define system architecture, and design scalable and secure cloud solutions.
  • Implement best practices for cloud microservices development, including containerization, orchestration, monitoring, and security.
  • Develop APIs and integrate with third-party services and systems to enable seamless data exchange and enhance functionality.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) and frameworks.
  • Ensure code quality through thorough testing, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to automate build, deployment, and testing processes leveraging CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and other technical problems encountered in cloud microservices solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide technical expertise and guidance.
  • Document design decisions, architectural diagrams, and code implementation for future reference and knowledge sharing.


Responsibilities

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
    • A Full Stack Developer, with a focus on cloud-native microservices development.
    • Proven experience deploying and maintaining AWS cloud resources like VPC, subnets, ACL, EC2, S3, RDS, and other resources.
    • Experience developing and maintaining Terraform modules and deploying resources using Terraform.
    • Experience with Terragrunt and Gruntwork Terraform modules a plus.
    • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, Azure, and GCP.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, and associated frameworks.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless computing.
    • In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
    • Familiarity with database technologies like SQL and NoSQL databases.
    • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles for automated build, deployment, and testing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Familiarity with federal government security requirements and compliance standards is a plus.
    • Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship in order to obtain a Dept of Homeland Security Entry of Duty clearance.

    Certification Preference: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Certified Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Active DHS/CISA suitability - 1st priority
  • Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret - 2nd choice
  • DoD Top Secret + willingness to obtain DHS/CISA suitability - 3rd choice (it can take 10-60 days to obtain suitability – work can only begin once suitability is fully adjudicated)
