The Mental Health Technician performs general child & adolescent client care and de-escalation services and provides support to the Clinical Services treatment staff. Interact with child/adolescent mental health clients, offer one-on-one sessions, provide appropriate intervention and follow-through consistently with the clients behavior management plan.
We have both full and part time openings. General work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Bachelor degree in Psychology preferred. Previous coursework or training on children with mental health/emotional disorders. Personal aptitude and life experience which suggest aptitude to provide positive and effective services for children with mental health disorders. Eighteen (18) years of age or older. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue is required within thirty (30) days of date of hire. Annual re-certification is required. Formal training in management of the aggressive client within sixty (60) days of date of hire. Annual re-certification is required.
