Serves as initial point of contact at our front reception desk for clients and referral sources inquiring about services.
Listen to and responds to clients behavioral health needs.
Follows up on referrals and client inquiries to convert to admissions when appropriate.
Gathers mental health treatment history and insurance information.
Provides initial information to Therapists to ensure smooth transition into therapy.
Obtain necessary authorizations for service as needed.
Schedules patient appointments based on clinician availability, following predetermined appointment arrangements.
Updates client personal record changes in EMR.
Informs client of adequate information that must be presented at time of visit.
Resolves pre-certification, registration and case-related concerns prior to a patient's admission into the Program.
Performs routine office responsibilities which including filing, copying, etc.
Responsible for following established employee safety rules and practices within the facility.

Our Lakeville, MN behavioral health clinic is expanding its team and is looking for candidates to serve as as the initial contact for clients and referral sources by listening to, assessing, and linking them to the services they need, and perform related support duties.
Bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in a clinical or health care setting with considerable client contact.
Experience with MN Medicaid, CTSS, or related public assistance program requirements, case management, and/or billing.
Ability to understand and respond to client needs when in a crisis or in a less than optimum state of health.
Exceptional attention to detail in order to review patient's medical history and refer accordingly.
Ability to converse with people during moments of trauma or crisis.
Strong listening and communication skills. Ability to communicate with clients, families and other clinical staff.
A high degree of responsibility to maintain confidentiality.
